Our Financial Planning Process

True Wealth Advisors follows the six step financial planning process sanctioned by the CFP Board of Standards. Using these six steps, we define your future life goals, assess where you are now, and strategize alternative action steps you can take to reach your goals. Here's what you can expect:

Step One: Establish the client-planner relationship.
After a no-cost "get acquainted meeting", we clearly disclose in writing and agree upon the services to be provided, including the length of time and cost of our engagement. Each of our responsibilities in facilitating the planning process is defined.

Step Two: Gather client data and define goals.
We listen to you and work together to define your personal and financial goals, your time frame for results, and how you feel about risk. The current status of your financial position is accurately documented.

Step Three: Analyze and evaluate your financial status.
Based on the information you provide, your current financial status is reviewed in relation to your goals and concerns. Areas of relative strength and risk are identified.

Step Four: Develop and present strategic options.
We explore and discuss all possible actions to reinforce the likelihood of meeting your goals, while minimizing downside risks. Recommendations are thoroughly reviewed so that together we can make informed decisions.

Step Five: The Implementation plan.
We agree on how recommendations will be carried out. You may choose to implement recommendations on your own, or we may serve as your "coach", coordinating the implementation process with you and your other advisors.

Step Six: Monitor progress toward your goals.
We discuss and agree on how progress towards your goals will be monitored. Typically, clients meet with us no less than annually to review, update, and revise their financial plan.

“Life is difficult” wrote M. Scott Peck in “The Road Less Traveled”. Time and again, Steve Jobs boldly and bravely accepted failure, human imperfection, pain and death, and showed us that adversity is not a reason to quit, but the inspiration to find a better way. With Steve Jobs as a shining example, let’s bypass Easy Street, and discover the uncharted paths that can make all the difference now. Not easy, but worthy of everything we’ve got to get America back on track.
