About Karin

Karin Maloney Stifler has practiced as a Fee-Only™ fiduciary Certified Financial Planner® professional for two decades, and is grateful to have found her professional calling. She offers a breadth of strategic financial experience resulting from association with nationally prominent firms in Chicago, Boston and Cleveland.
Karin passionately believes that competent and ethical financial planning can enrich the lives of people from all walks of life at all stages of life. She launched True Wealth Advisors to coach people to be organized, confident and in control of their financial lives.
Karin is frequently invited to present and comment on personal finance. She has been quoted in national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Bankrate.com, Money, Smart Money, Parents, Real Simple, and Morningstar. She wrote for the Cleveland Plain Dealer's "Ask an Expert" financial column, and has made guest appearances on radio and television.
With a BA in International Studies and Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and MBA in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston, Karin spends over 30 hours a year on continuing education. She achieved the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) based on a staunch commitment to put clients’ best interests first.
Karin was named recipient of the Heart of Financial Planning Award in 2011 in recognition of a commitment to enhance the public’s financial wellbeing. She has contributed to financial literacy efforts of the Boy Scouts of America and Ohio public schools’ personal finance curriculum, and led FPA’s National Pro Bono outreach serving 9/11 and disaster victims, military personnel, and other populations in need. She served on the National Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association whose mission is to help create a world where everyone thrives and prospers, and recently joined the Consumer Advisory Board of the Boston Federal Reserve Bank.
Personally, Karin enjoys yoga and marathon running, and is grateful for the love and support of her husband, three sons and dog Toby.
